Today’s featured blogger is the fun and adorable Emma who blogs at the Sweet Tooth Runner from just outside London! Think you can’t enjoy all of life’s goodies and still maintain a healthy lifestyle? Think again because this woman seriously loves chocolate and manages to enjoy her favorite eats while living a healthy, athletic life.  This accomplished runner is also a musician (talk about talented, right?) and is lucky enough to be performing in Germany right now! Good luck, Emma!

1.  Tell us a bit about your blog?

My name’s Emma, and I’m the Sweet Tooth Runner!!

My blog is basically documenting my life of fuelling my passion for running with chocolate and other yummy food!!

I’ve been blogging for a few months, and I came up with the title after a friend suggested it- my sweet tooth is no secret! :P I basically blog about my life. Which is mostly eating and running really!

2. If you were stranded on a dessert island and could only have 3 foods, what would they be? I know this must be a nearly impossible question!

Chocolate, obviously! And I guess peanut butter and broccoli…two other staples in my diet! Oh, and dates!! I know that’s four and I’m cheating, but I seriously can’t live without any of those things!!

Yeah that’s me in workout clothes clutching 3 packs of dates and a head of broccoli. Perfectly normal.

3.  What is your greatest pet peeve?

When people talk about being a ‘bad’ runner because they’re ‘too slow’ or because they don’t run very far. Pace/mileage does NOT make you a good/bad runner!! To me, ALL runners are amazing, and no numbers change that! I wrote a bit about this in one of my rare serious posts- The Comparison Trap, so you can read more about that there :)

4. What does your typical workout routine look like? What are your favorite moves?

I have one rest day a week typically on a Friday, and run 4-5 days, with cross-training days in-between. I LOVE exercising generally, and nothing beats getting a good sweat on! I go to BodyPump and spinning classes regularly too, and I love yoga as well! Basically, I love sweaty endorphins!

5. What new food have your recently discovered that you can’t get enough of?

Medjool dates stuffed with peanut butter and chocolate chips. This is to DIE for.

Add in some broccoli and you’ve got my four fave foods in one go! :P

6. What are some of your life goals?

Okay, well I’m going to share some goals I have NEVER talked about before. And some I have shared too because I share 99% of my life/thoughts on the blog, so my secrets are few and far between…

-          Run a sub 20 min 5k this year

-          Run a sub 1.35 half marathon this year

-          Run a sub 18 min 5k next year

-          Run a sub 3 hour marathon(!!)

-          Not eat chocolate in some form for one day

I think I can achieve them all in the future…except possibly that last one…! ;)

7. If our reader’s could only read one of your blog posts, which one should they read and why?

Well I blog about my daily life…so I guess you should read one of those posts! This is one I wrote a few days ago about 10 Happy Things that day. Obviously those stuffed dates were one of them! :D
