Today’s featured blogger is the well-known and loved Julie from Peanut Butter Fingers. If you’ve been following her blog, then you’ll know she documents many of her tasty eats, great workouts and shenanigans with her husband and adorable dog, Sadie.  We hope you enjoy meeting this vibrant, health, fitness and life enthusiast!

1. Tell us a bit about your blog?

My blog, Peanut Butter Fingers, follows my life as I balance working a full-time job with blogging, daily exercise and enjoying a diet fueled by mostly-healthy foods. Though the underlying theme of my blog is fitness and food, I most enjoy blogging about crazy events in my life and obstacles real people face all the time… like finding the motivation to work out in the morning or finding time to make nutritious dinners after a long day at the office. These topics are most important to me because they’re real. I’m far from perfect and experience the same struggles people all over the world experience when trying to live a healthy life.

2. If you were stranded on a dessert island and could only have 5 foods, what would they be?

  • Frozen yogurt
  • Peanut butter
  • Apples
  • Lasagna
  • Oatmeal chocolate chip cookies

3.  What is your greatest pet peeve? What puts a smile on your face?

  • Biggest pet peeve: Perfectly capable people going up or down one floor on the elevator and people who check themselves out in the mirrors at the gym (using the mirrors for form is one thing… using them to check out your hot bod makes me want to gag)
  • What makes me smile: My husband and my nut job of a dog, Sadie

4. What does your typical workout routine look like? What are your favorite moves?

My typical workout routine includes weight-training two days a week (I am obsessed with BodyPump classes), plus three days of cardio and one day of plyometric training (usually in the form of a bootcamp class).

5. How do you stay motivated to workout? Any tips for us?

I love using motivational mantras to inspire myself to get my butt in the gym. You may see an entire post of my favorite exercise mantras here.

6. If our reader’s could only read one of your blog posts, which one should they read and why?

That is such a hard question!!! I can’t pick one! Here are a few of my favorites:
