Tina’s blog Carrots N’ Cake is one of our absolute favorite reads, so it’s a real treat to feature an interview with none other than the founder here on RWM. Keep reading to learn more about Tina, and her inspirational dedication to living healthy and having fun at the same time.

Tell us a bit about your blog?  How long have you been blogging? How did you come up with the title of your blog?  What are you favorite topics to blog about?

Like most brides-to-be, I wanted to look my best on my wedding day.  After using an online calorie and exercise tracker and reading food blogs, I was inspired to start my own blog. Shortly thereafter, Carrots ‘N’ Cake was born.

Since then, I continue to be super passionate about keeping a balance— > having fun, staying fit, and watching my weight—all without stressing over it. While I try to pack the most nutrients possible into each meal I eat, there are a number of foods that are not necessarily healthy, but I still indulge in anyway. If eaten in moderation, I believe that the “bad” foods can be part of a well-balanced healthy diet.

If you could only read one book for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?

Can I pick my book? ;)

What is your greatest pet peeve?

People who litter! Grrr!

If you were stranded on a dessert island and could only have 5 foods, what would they be?

Bananas, peanut butter, Greek yogurt, pumpkin spice granola, and dark chocolate

What are you favorite workout moves?

I love to run, so running any scenic route is my favorite way to exercise.

What tips do you have for people who are intimated to start getting healthy?

Start small. Making too many changes at once is overwhelming, so instead make one healthy choice each day. And, mostly importantly, do what is right for YOU!

What website do you love, but kind of also hate?

PerezHilton.com

If our readers could only read one of your blog posts, which one should they read and why?
