After a long night, it’ s tempting not to remove your makeup. And it doesn’t help that makeup removers are pricey. But this habit can lead to an allergic reaction, irritation or infection. Well, I’ve discovered 5 great alternatives to makeup remover that won’t be as costly but have the same benefits.
You may be more familiar with Vaseline — they’re the same thing. When I was a kid, I used to apply a makeshift Vaseline face mask every night before going to bed because it made my skin feel extra soft. This clear jelly based product is easy to apply on your skin and leaves it feeling smooth and moisturized. Simply swipe some on a tissue, cotton ball or swab to wipe off your makeup. It’s especially great to take off stubborn eye liner or mascara.

I particularly like to use Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream because I have sensitive skin and it is fragrance free and less oily than other lotions. I’ve found that the best way to remove eye makeup is to apply some lotion onto a tissue, cotton ball or swab and wipe. The makeup comes off easily and your skin will feel moisturized.
