We would like to introduce you to the new and extra fabulous www.fitandfabliving.com!
While I have been known to write love letters to my dinners, that’s comparatively sane next to my love of the Starbucks Verismo. Seriously, I wasn’t a coffee drinker before, but now I am. I love it so much that I featured it in Recipe4Living’s Spring 2013 Gift Guide and wrote an article about it. Now, I am blogging about it. Read on for more!
As you know, I’m not really into the whole cocktail scene. However, one of the few mixed drinks that I do enjoy is sangria. I’m also not a white wine lover, but I love white sangria. Go figure. On paper, a mixed drink made out of white wine is something I’d hate. In reality, I love it. It’s also a great way to use in-season produce to spruce up your evening glass of wine.
When my vegetables are about to go bad, I whip up a big pot of minestrone soup. When my fruits are about to go bad, I whip up a big pitcher of sangria. Sometimes I’ll even drink the sangria while making the minestrone; I know, I’m a rebel. Keep reading for my Ultimate White Sangria recipe!
Let’s face it, I share far more similarities to Jack Donaghy than I do with Carrie Bradshaw. After all, he is my hair mentor. My drink of choice is a bourbon straight up. So when Cocktail Rx asked if they could send me some of their Apple Martini, or Appletini as it’s become known, I have to admit that I laughed just a little bit. Then I said appletini out loud, and laughed some more. But like the good editor I am, I got home right after work and fixed myself a drink. I felt like I was in the middle of a Mad Men episode. What a tough life I lead.
It’s a challenge for most women out there, balancing work and social lives. Who doesn’t want to meet up with their friends and hang out after work? A lot of times, it’s tough to take a business-y outfit to a fun level and make it appropriate for a bar scene, but we have the secrets to making it work for you!
One of my favorite TV shows, JUSTIFIED, returned last night on FX. The show centers around U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens (played by the very sexy, very hard-to-resist Timothy Olyphant). Raylan started Season 1 being reassigned from Miami to his childhood hometown in a backwoods coal-mining area of Eastern Kentucky, and the first new episode puts him up against a Dixie mafia hitman. This season sees more sleazy criminals and women in need, but I’m going to help you get the look of the country with trends seen on today’s top fashion websites. Keep reading for more!
