Ever heard of foam rolling? Me neither until a couple days ago! My gym recently created an hour long class dedicated to relaxing those pesky built-up muscle knots by using a foam roller. It feel like you’re giving yourself a deep tissue massage, and the best part is you can do it at home. Here are some basic exercises to try with a foam roller.

I never imagined myself to take on the sport of running. With two brothers at home, my interests revolved around basketball, and yes, WWE Wrestling. But as I started high school, my parents encouraged me to let go of my WNBA dreams and give running a shot. In retrospect, I’m glad I did. Cause let’s be real, I’m no Lisa Leslie.

Thanks to Asics, I think I am finally able to master the art of working out and looking good. And just in time too because I found myself in a desperate need for workout gear that wasn’t sweatpants. Asics was kind enough to hook me up with some workout gear from their Abby collection and a few pairs of running shoes for me to test out.

In the summer I barley sit still. I’m always outside running, walking or riding my bike, but once winter arrives I’m the complete opposite.

I’ll freely admit it: I usually gain weight during the winter. Maybe it’s a combination of the holidays, the rich foods we gravitate towards, and the time off from work that causes it. For me, I think it’s because of the darkness and cold in addition to the other three things. This year, I’m absolutely determined not to gain my usual 15 winter pounds, and I’ve found the perfect way for us all to embark on this crusade.
