I love avocados. I have mastered my guacamole recipe. Every sandwich that I make has avocado on it. When I was researching homemade face masks and saw the many skin benefits of avocado masks, I knew I had to try it.
I enjoy doing these first impressions because I love trying out new products. I recently saw this primer while I was shopping at Ulta so I thought I would try it out and let you all know what I thought. I go through phases where I use a face primer, but recently I’ve found that I’ve especially been in need of one. I find that my foundation has trouble lasting all day and my face ends up looking really shiny by the afternoon. This product claims to help with shine control, and after trying out this product and seeing the improvements in my skin, I feel as though this purchase was long overdue.
Of the many things I love about summer a shiny, oil streaked face is certainly not one of them. My battle with shine has led me to three products that I can actually trust to control the reflecting mirror that is my forehead in the summer. Believe me I’ve tried it all, but with combination, sensitive skin it’s rather hard to find products I can trust. That is, of course, until I tried these.
I constantly find myself yelling at friends and family about protecting their skin. I cringe, watching them lather up with their SPF 4 tanning oils and bronzers. It’s time for a change! The sun’s radiation causes painful burns, wrinkles and, in extreme cases, skin cancer. Coming to you just in time for the warmest summer months – here are my six steps to healthy summer skin:
Okay let’s count up how many completely useless “exfoliating” soaps, bars, gels etc. that you can find in your bathroom. Something like “way too many” right? They may work right when you get out of the shower or for a couple hours if you’re lucky but in reality, they never really make your skin baby-bottom soft. Well, all that’s about to change. I tried LUSH Fresh Handmade Cosmetics “Buffy” body butter and I love it!
When it comes to makeup, skepticism is usually my go to attitude. When every cosmetic label screams “NO. 1 AGE DEFYING, ANTI-WRINKLE, PORE-ERASING, SUN-PROTECTING, FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH!” it’s hard to take them seriously. But, I put my skepticism aside to try a new product by one of my favorite (and most trusted) makeup companies: Benefit Cosmetics. It’s called “the POREfessional” and I am officially hooked.
I recently had my nails painted at a salon and was very disappointed when the next day I noticed that they were already starting to chip. Why pay all that money when it doesn’t even last, I thought to myself? I’ve gotten artificial nails before, but I began considering it gain after this mishap. My nails are in really ruff shape at the moment and I want something that is going to disguise them. But before I take any further steps, I wanted to make a pro and con list for getting artificial nails. I hear lots of rumors about how bad they are for your nails and health, so I want to make sure I’m making the right decision first. But which is better, gel or acrylic? Good thing I’m weighing the pros and cons of both!
