Ever get frustrated when the summer humidity turns your hair into a fluffy mess and you just can’t seem to find a good clip to hold it all in place? I may have found a solution.

The 2013 Billboard Music Awards featured an all grown-up Taylor Swift in a gorgeous vibrant blue dress from designer Zuhair Murad’s Pre-Fall 2013 Ready-to-Wear Collection.

Well, that picture about sums it up. Mrs. Doubtfire. Kim Doubtfire. Kanye might get away with wearing skirts left and right, but you’ll never get away with wearing the slipcover from Roseanne’s couch, Kim. Every time I think I’ve successfully left the realm of fashion (something I really have little place writing about in the first place), I get sucked back in by these monstrous creations.

Pamella Roland Deep Sea Starfish Gown

Maybe it’s the fact that I spent this weekend at a wedding of one of my very best friends, we’re coming right off of awards season, and I love long dresses, but I spend most days hoping for a Creative Black Tie event so that I can wear a floor-length gown. Read on to see the gowns that are really catching my eye, with the help of Rent the Runway!

I’m certainly a newcomer in all matters of appreciating Milly’s bold patterns, striking colors, and glorious fabrics, but all it took was one dress for me to become a permanent convert to this quality fashion label. Keep reading to learn more about my journey to embrace this so-called preppy brand, and learn about Michelle’s new more affordable line for Banana Republic.

Believe it or not, men can have an opinion on fashion. In fact, since I like to run my mouth off about pretty much anything, I thought I’d spend some time talking about fashion. This weekend, I went to town on the Brooks’ Brothers 50% off sale. I was born at 50 years old, I know. So that makes me 72 now. I drove a Buick for six years, so that sounds about right.

Like Macklemore’s lyric (and my fashion motto) goes, “I wear your granddad’s clothes, I look incredible.” I stick to classics. The closest thing I make to a fashion statement is to have a rotation of my four pairs of eyeglasses. My hair is allowed to do whatever it wants as long as it doesn’t fall out. But I’m aware of the trends and I know what works, even though I don’t care to show it 95% of the time.

The latest buzz around the political water-cooler this morning is that Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour will be getting a bit of promotion. That’s right, it’s rumored (or should I say rumoured) that one of the most famous fashion editors is slated to get a political appointment as a liaison to either the U.K. or France. Personally, as a political junkie and fan of Ms. Wintour, I couldn’t be more excited. Unfortunately, not everyone feels the same way.

Tuesday, November 6 (read: tomorrow) is election day, and lots of fashion brands are dedicating their social media channels and store windows to getting out the vote. Keep reading to see the non-partisan campaigns of BCBGMaxazria, Gap, and more!

If you know me at all, you know that I am a big proponent of “the sweatshirt,” “the hoodie,” or whatever your favorite name for this comfy top is. As of late, I decided that I needed to update my collection and weed out some of the sports team and university-inspired numbers, trading them for some chic grown-up styles that look less lazy and more like a look. Keep reading to see the ones I’ve chosen to wear this winter.

Neutral pieces are the foundation of a versatile wardrobe. The myth that white is a summer shade and neutrals like black and gray are more appropriate for fall is outdated and false! White can be worn with fall clothing. Just follow these tips.
