I hate New Years’ resolutions, but this year I think I’m going to make one for the first time since I was in grade school. Recently, I’ve been thinking about what I could do to make a meaningful difference in my life. Admittedly, I will never stop swearing, I don’t aspire to run a marathon (the 10k I did without training two years ago nearly killed me), and chocolate and I will never divorce. I’m not very good when it comes to New Year’s Resolutions. I, like many, start the year with a ton of enthusiasm and dedication, then fizzle out after a little bit. Last year, my resolutions were to work out 3 times per week, blog twice per week, and play the guitar for 1 hour a week. I stopped working around September (and even then it was closer to 2 times per week), I managed to blog until July or so, and my guitar gathered dust for pretty much the entire year. Fail.
